With so many great things to do at our daycare, I wanted to share some fun activities and ideas for parents and their children to do at home together.
Playing with Lego
Playing with blocks, lego and any building toys allows children to create something out of their imaginations. Lego also develops problem solving skills.

Educational Toys and Gifts for the Holidays
It’s always hard to find the perfect gift for children. Why not give them a really great toy that they will find entertaining and educational. These types of toys enhance cognitive, social, emotional, physical and creativity. They are also my favourite types of toys.
Wooden Train sets-Develop hand-eye coordination and advance problem solving as they put together the track. Enhances you child’s imagination as they explore their trains going over bridges, tunnels and curves.
Kitchen and Dress up play-Children love to use their imaginations by pretending to cook and set the table just like Mom and Dad.
Puppets-Brings out your child’s imagination. They can express themselves or bring a story to life.
Construction Toys, Building Blocks, Dublo and Lego– Children are stimulated to use their imaginations to create their own creations.
Marble works– develops cognitive, creativity ,math skills such as sorting ,counting and colors. Also problem solving skills.
These are some of the greatest educational toys that are both intellectually stimulating and fun.
